Mobility:  Best Guidance Practices for the Mobility (M) Assessment of Unstable, Reactive, or Ionizable Substances

Objective

Guidance for tests/testing strategies to assess the mobility of substances for which existing test methods might not be fit for purpose:

  1. Screen and summarize literature for methods and their applicability for mobility assessment for difficult-to-test substances.
  2. Identification of substances or substance classes (relevant for the cosmetics industry) that are likely to not be correctly classified as M/vM due to data limitations.
  3. Compare and evaluate the applicability of the following methods: QSAR to predict log Koc and OECD 121, 106 and 312 test guidelines  (e.g. regarding transferability to environmentally realistic pH values).
