Persistence / Biodegradation: Biodegradation Test Methods Based on Increased Cell Concentrations (ICC) with AISE and Cefic LRI
Objective
- Generate scientific data and further develop biodegradation methods based on ICCs to demonstrate their ability to improve biodegradation assessments and increase their acceptability by stakeholders.
- Improve experimental procedures for the preparation of the inoculum to reduce costs and make testing feasible for many laboratories.
- Finalize experimental protocols using sludge and river water for submission of new standards to OECD or ISO, and support existing standardization activities for the MaP (marine biodegradation screening test for chemical persistence assessment) OECD test guideline through data generation.
