Genotoxicity:  Improving the Predictive Capacity of the In Vitro Genotoxicity Testing Battery: Improving External Metabolic Systems to Better Reflect the Human Situation, as well as Realistic Exposure Scenarios.

Objective

This project’s objectives are to:

  1. Select candidate chemicals suitable to demonstrate that a more realistic mix of cofactors improves genotoxicity predictions
  2. Conduct proof-of-concept studies using the selected chemicals for with genotoxic potential is known to be impacted by Phase 2 metabolism (bioactivated or detoxified)
  3. Verify that the predictive capacity of an In Vitro genotoxicity assay is improved by optimizing the metabolic supplement for the liver metabolic system, later also for skin
