Pharmacology Profiling: Completion of Feasibility Study on Pharmacology Profiling of Cosmetic Relevant Chemicals
Objective
Project deliverables - An In Vitro pharmacology profiling toolbox which:
- Informs the assessment of systemic toxicity Mode of Action of cosmetic ingredients
- Provides quantitative data on an In Vitro bioactivity Points of Departure that can aid NGRAs
- Acceptance of the approach by the scientific community and regulators, via publication in prestigious peer reviewed journals and presentations at scientific conferences and to SCCS
- Enabling use of the toolbox in regulatory dossiers, to support cosmetic ingredient defense and enable safe use of new ingredients in cosmetics
