Pharmacology Profiling:  Including Phase 1 Metabolite Testing in In Vitro Pharmacology Profiling of Test Chemicals

This project’s objectives are to:

1. Standardize experimental methodology which enables generation of metabolites of test compounds via incubation with alginate immobilized human and rat liver S9 In Vitro.
2. Demonstrate that this method can be used to assess the impact of metabolic capability on target pharmacology activities of cosmetic relevant test chemicals.
3. Develop experimental workflow which enables incorporation of metabolic competency within pharmacology profiling assays.
4. Establish how the data can be integrated within NGRAs of cosmetic chemicals.
